The hardest things to provide feedback on to students are interviews, presentations and performances. Trying to juggle observing what is being presented and taking notes to provide the grade and additional feedback can be a challenge. There are several tools that can help alleviate this challenge.
The ROML Sakai Pilot has transitioned all introductory Spanish courses to the multi-section friendly Sakai interface. Several other languages, such as French, German, and Italian, have joined in the pilot.
Before embarking on any project, it is imperative that a proper infrastructure is in place. This is particularly important when dealing with any type of course redesign or technology project. Often this is an area that is overlooked and failure to address it from the onset can have catastrophic affects on the overall success of a project.
